Tuscaloosa here I come....
Hey gang! Just wanted to fill y'all in on the goings on of the past few days. Late last week, the terminal manager from Tuscaloosa, Alabama called and wanted to speak with me about the position that I had applied for. He and I spoke for about 20 minutes, and I answered some questions that he had, and I asked him a few.
Well anyway, yesterday afternoon he called and offered me the job! This is a HUGE step up for me. It will definitely be very challenging, and very tough. The job will be a lot more stressful in some ways, but in other ways, a lot less. My duties will be focused on to things other than what I do now. Naturally, I am going to help out in any ways that I can, but my focus will be on other aspects of the business.
I have already looked a little bit and found a few different churches that I want to check out when I get moved in. My sister used to live in Tuscaloosa and has told me about a couple of good apartment complexes that are there.
I spent most of the day and night yesterday, praying about my decision, wondering if I made the right decision. I asked God to send me some sort of signal, that things are going to be alright with my choice. Ask and ye shall receive LOL I got to work this morning and things had gone well yesterday (I was off for jury duty). I was happy for that...BUT.....two people called in sick and one guy just flat didn't show up. I tell ya, life is more difficult when you are depending on people to get up at 4:00 a.m. and come to work for low(er) wages. It always seems to happen in bunches. In my next job I won't have nearly as much to do with the people that come in at 4:00 a.m.
I tell ya, the company will flat out tell ya, your facility's day is determind by the morning load crew. When the company doesn't pay that crew very well, the crew a lot of times doesn't care how their attendance issues hinder the rest of the day for countless other people. Definiely not an aspect of the job I am gonna miss LOL
Anyway, that's my exciting news. I will fill y'all in on details (such as address, phone number changes, etc) as soon as I know.
God Bless!

Bravo! Cheers! I'm happy for you, brother. Best of wishes in the transition and as you get established there in Tuscaloosa and on your job. I'm praying that the relocation there in Alabama will bring health physically, mentally, spiritually. Take care. Keep me posted. I'm sure you will.
