BUSY BUSY BUSY

I apologize for the long gaps in my postings these days. I am staying very busy with work these days. Fifteen hour workdays are not uncommon at all for me. I am not complaing because I am blessed to have a job that I actually love doing. Each day is different and unique in its own way.

Despite numerous attempts, no one here has been able to convince me to become an Alabama football fan. My alliance stays with Texas :-)Always has...always will.

My trip to Livingston was awesome despite Lisa's repeated attempts to kill me. LITERALLY! However, all in all I had a very great time with some great Christians whom I love very much. I totally fell in love with the area though. At one point, on the jet ski, I asked Lisa to stop in the middle of the lake. She asked if I was getting sick (this was my first time on a jet ski) but the reason I asked her to stop was because this lake was totally surrounded by the Smokies, it was very quiet, and the temperature was in the low to mid 70's. It was absolutely spectacular. So peaceful and serene and it was just awesome to sit there and soak it all in. I definitely want to go back sometime and if and when I move again, would not be opposed to moving to that area. It was definitely a picture painted with the brush of our Lord.

I still don't have a computer at home and I am in no hurry to get one. I came up to work to use the computer after church this evening. I have been asked to help host a class at my apartment on Sunday evenings. It would primarily be people in the Young Professionals Group. I told them I would but everyone would need to bring a lawn chair because I still have literally no furniture in my living room HAHA

I can honestly say that I am genuinely enjoying my move here. God has definitely blessed me in so many ways. It was a much needed and a much appreciated move.

Well I will cut this one off now. I hope and pray that all of you are doing well and that the Lord continues to bless you in each and every facet of life.

Remember: The measure of a man has nothing to do with his stature, but rather the condition of his heart!

I am alive

Hey Guys! Sorry for such a long span between posts, but I have been so incredibly busy over the past month that I have not had time to update this thing. Couple that with the fact that I do not have (regular) access to a computer and you can see why I have not posted.

I have gotten myself moved and settled in here in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The move has been a relatively easy transition for me. I am coming along pretty well in my new job. Last week and most of this one has been spent in a driving class on learning the ins and outs of driving the larger FedEx vehicles. It has been pretty easy.

I am slowly starting to make some friends both at church and at my apartment complex. Naturally at work as well. The apartment complex is really nice and I have been playing tennis and basketball with some guys who recently moved back for college. The University of Alabama is here in Tuscaloosa so there has been a huge barrage of new/returning students who are in the process of returning back to school. I am having a good time and enjoying myself.

I am still visiting a few churches, trying to find one that truly 'fits me' or at least one that fits me the most comfortably. I have been going to one that has about 600-700 members and it has a pretty good sized group of young professionals/singles. That is definitely not something I am used to. I am used to being about the only person in a "20's Singles Group" so this is a great change of pace for me. They are a very nice and spititually minded group.

I am taking off this Friday and heading up to Livingston Tennsessee to see some friends of mine who are visiting family from Connecticut. We are going skiing and jet skiing and doing whatever else happens to tickle our fancies at the time. I have already informed my boss that I am going to be useless at work on Saturday, but that is ok :-)

Anyway, I hope that everyone is doing well. I hope and pray that this has reached you all in good spirits and health.

My telephone number is going to remain the same. For those of you who have it..keep it...and if you don't have it and want it...e-mail me.

God Bless!

Greg
